In 1997 master teacher Armando Bega created the Scientific Institute of Podiatry (ICP) in the city of Santo André. Originating in the extinct Scientific Society of Podiatry in 1996, ICP started to organize the international Podiatry journeys from Brazil to the present day. In 2007 ICP moved to the city of São Paulo and master teacher Armando Bega was invited to organize and coordinate the first degree in podiatry in Brazil. ICP is an institute whose mission is to generate knowledge through studies, practices and research associated with the best technologies related to Podiatry, being at the forefront in Brazil. ICP relates to all countries where Podiatry is already consolidated and also in emerging countries in the area, where Podiatry grows as an indispensable science for people's health and well-being.
With increasing evolution in its studies, practices and research, ICP, through master teacher Armando Bega, believes this is the ripe and opportune moment to take another big step in the dissemination of scientific knowledge by creating the journal “Iberian American Journal of Podiatry” (“ Ibero American Journal of Podiatry ”). The Iberian American Journal of Podiatry becomes an official publication of the ICP, whose mission is to publish relevant scientific articles in the broadest sense of the different aspects of health sciences with emphasis on Podiatry. Its objective is the integration with researchers, teachers and students in educational and research institutions, promoting the dissemination of extracurricular activity projects, seminars, lectures, abstracts, reviews, teaching projects, experiences and literary creation in the field of Podiatry / Podiatrics. Our periodicity is four-dimensional.
