Abstract
Psoriasis is an autoimmune dermatosis that affects approximately 3% of the world population and about 80% of the patients present some kind of nail damage. Nowadays there aren’t studies proposing a podological approach in the treatment of nail psoriasis patients. In this way, the objective of this work, besides filling this gap, is to elucidate the pathophysiology of the Psoriasis, to compile the clinical signs of the nail anifestations and the methods of diagnosis and evaluation of the same. The specific objective of this review is to propose a podological approach for nail Psoriasis. This study was characterized as a literature review. Systematic searches were carried out in the period between June and September 2016, using electronic databases such as: Medline, Science Direct, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO).
